1 Corinthians 4:2 Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.

We have seen so many in corporate America today who seek only after their own gain. Many work hard to get themselves into management and then they treat their employees with little respect. Why? Usually it’s because they worked hard to get to their position for themselves, not to serve others or advance the company as a whole. Selfish ambition usually leads to tyrannical leadership.

Paul tells the Corinthians that those who have been given a trust – management over other – must prove themselves faithful. Faithful to their employees, faithful to themselves, and faithful to God who has placed them in the position they have. What we need is leaders who will be faithful to serve and faithful to live in integrity.
